Modern 4 Room HDB Home Interior Design at Joo Seng Road

There is simplicity in modern interior design that has given it everlasting relevance. Modern homes have clean lines and are without fuss, yet they can be comfortable and cosy. A modernist aesthetic is not limited to a specific style since mid-century modern furniture is coveted in many homes with different style narratives.

This modern home features a neutral colour palette throughout the entire house, nothing too over the top and off the charts. As seen in this picture, one wall of the house has been painted to create a stark colour contrast in the room.

The brown dining table and matching chairs blends in seamlessly with the wall’s colour.

Part of the kitchen’s wall has been demolished to create a semi open kitchen. This way, even if you have guests over and are busy preparing food in the kitchen, you can still interact with them without having to come out of the kitchen itself. Since part of the kitchen wall has been demolished, natural light flowing in from the kitchen windows help to illuminate the rest of the house.

The modern living room has a feature wall behind the tv that stands out beautifully. On both sides of the tv, glass display shelves have also been installed for easy display of decorations or your favourite pictures of family and friends.

The grey sofa blends in perfectly with the colour palette of the room. The black and grey coffee table adds a good colour contrast against the other elements. A ceiling fan with light has been installed, it is wooden and matches the curtains.

The first bedroom has been converted into a study. The study comes fitted with a built-in desk and cabinets for easy storage of files and office supplies. The dark wood is a good colour contrast against the white wall and floor, an additional brown stripe running along the wall also livens up the room.

The study looks simple and clean.

In the first bedroom, a brown wooden floor to ceiling built-in wardrobe is the most eye-catching piece in the room.

The reflective stripes on the doors of the wardrobe help to reflect light from the windows and helps to brighten the space up.

The kitchen cabinets are wooden and made to look like real wooden planks.

The kitchen features both wooden cabinets and white cabinets for storage space. The white is a good colour contrast against the other elements of the room and also helps reflect light coming in from the yard’s windows.

The addition of the silver coloured fridge ties the look together effortlessly.

The toilets of the house are fairly simple in design with a pattern tiles in the shower area.

The second toilet features the same tiles in the shower area as the first toilet.
